In the field of plant protection – herbicides, fungicides and insecticides – InVivo essentially plays the role of referencing, purchasing and billing centre. The aim here is to bring partner cooperatives the best products, services and sales conditions.
EUROPEAN LEADER
InVivo’s network of partner cooperatives is France’s number-one referencing centre for plant protection products, including weed-killers, fungicides, insecticides and seed treatment. It also enjoys a leadership position in Europe. InVivo revenue in plant protection – totalling 1 billion euros in the 2008-2009 financial year – reflects both the growing number of cooperatives subscribing to InVivo’s “partner” strategy and the expansion of the referencing and purchasing centre's business to all market suppliers.
“PLANT PROTECTION PARTNERS”
The “Plant Protection Partners” network members – 25 regional cooperative groups (115 single cooperatives) and purchasing unions – account for 90% of total activity revenue. The highly involved, 12-member operational committee meets every month to organise negotiations on contracts with suppliers and decide on actions to be taken. It also decides on the resources to be implemented to meet the quantitative and qualitative objectives negotiated.
