InVivo Quest launches its 4th edition

Created in 2017, InVivo Quest is a challenge open to startups in the agri-food sector with a dual purpose: on the one hand, to identify startups that will help accelerate the transition of the agri-food sector and, on the other hand, to build an international ecosystem of AgriFood innovation.

The 4th edition of InVivo Quest has just been launched and the dedicated platform is now collecting the first applications for an edition that will take place exclusively in Europe from next September: https://www.invivoquesteurotour2020-2021.com/

The transformation of the agricultural world is underway, driven in particular by the sometimes devastating effects of climate change but also by the growing need for food and the new expectations of consumers. In addition, the current health crisis is urging us to move even faster towards more resilient and responsible production and consumption models, while remaining economically profitable. Innovation has a major role to play, as many solutions have yet to be invented, even though the agri-food sector has begun its transformation and has great potential to produce innovative and sustainable solutions at all levels of the food chain.

Some of these solutions already exist and only need to be further exploited: precision agriculture with its soil expertise, bio-solutions that reduce the use of chemical inputs; other solutions are emerging: the creation of new markets through carbon dioxide sequestration; but also new modes of distribution using digital platforms, networking or blockchain for better traceability to ensure food safety and health for consumers and increase farmers' income.

The fourth edition of InVivo Quest aims to address these issues, with a strong focus on climate impacts. InVivo Quest aims to support the selected start-ups in testing, developing and marketing their solutions for the benefit of farmers and consumers in France and abroad, through its internal and external innovation ecosystems.

The EuroTour 2020-2021 programme

InVivo Quest has chosen to focus its sourcing on Europe, which has an incredible technological landscape and too often relies on American or Asian resources. To segment Europe, 7 areas of interest with different fields of expertise have been identified. From agronomy, life sciences, indoor cultivation in the Netherlands, agroforestry in Northern Europe, data analysis software in Eastern Europe, to IoT and equipment in Central Europe, the Old Continent combines an abundant variety of skills.
