InVivo becomes Official Supplier of local products for the Rugby World Cup

The InVivo group is pleased and proud to become the Official Supplier of local products for the Rugby World Cup France 2023.

As a national union of agricultural cooperatives operating in close proximity to the regions, InVivo will promote French local products throughout the organisation of this major international sporting event.

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE THE FRENCH AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD SECTORS

This Rugby World Cup is set to be the most tricoloured of all global sporting events, allowing us to showcase our country and its terroirs. This is a strong objective, embodied by Claude Atcher, CEO of France 2023, which resonates perfectly with InVivo's mission and the vision of its CEO Thierry Blandinières. The latter sees it as a unique opportunity to promote the French agricultural and food sectors by highlighting local products that are representative of our regions.

In addition, with a view to inventing a new model for sports events, France 2023 has also made unprecedented commitments in terms of positive impact, inclusion and respect for social and environmental issues; a desire to set an example in line with the requirements of the InVivo Group.

Claude Atcher, Managing Director of France 2023: "This is where rugby comes from: from these lands where tradition is dared, where every gesture is part of the respect for nature and the celebration of its excellence. Welcoming InVivo was an obvious choice for us. We are proud to share the same ambition for the 2023 Rugby World Cup: to delight all audiences, both in and out of the stadiums, with local products from sustainable and responsible agriculture that will make our country shine."

Thierry Blandinières, Invivo CEO: "InVivo is proud to be involved in the organisation of this Rugby World Cup, especially as it will be one of the first global sporting events since the health crisis, as a symbol of a revival. With two years to go, the competition has already met with immense enthusiasm and is a real opportunity to promote the French agri-food sector, by highlighting our industries, our regions and our territories."

ABOUT THE RUGBY WORLD CUP FRANCE 2023 :

The Rugby World Cup 2023 will take place in France from 8 September to 28 October. The matches will be played in nine stadiums in ten host cities. This will be the 10th Rugby World Cup for men in history, and the second to be held in France after a memorable edition in 2007.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup will be held in the year of the bicentenary of rugby, invented in 1823 by William Webb-Ellis, an English student at Rugby School, who demonstrated an "uncommon" gesture by catching the ball in his hand and running with it.

France 2023 aims to be a positive impact competition, setting new standards in social responsibility, inclusion and sustainable development for a major international sporting event. Four strong commitments have been made: to act for a sustainable and circular economy, to commit to education, training and employment, to limit the impact on the environment, and to support inclusion and accessibility.

The Rugby World Cup 2023 will be a flagship event for rugby, with 20 teams competing. 48 matches will be played over 51 days.
