Nicolas Carré appointed Chief Financial Officer

Soufflet Malt, the world’s leading maltster has named Nicolas Carré as its new Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Nicolas will help drive the company’s MALTiply 2030 strategic roadmap and steer growth, transformation and efficiency initiatives to strengthen Soufflet Malt’s position as a global industry leader. He will focus on building strategic partnerships, improving operational performance and leading digital transformation to strengthen the company’s financial excellence.

Nicolas has built his career across a range of industries, including automotive, flooring and mining and metals, with international experience in the US, Czech Republic and Germany. He brings deep expertise in finance, investor relations, operations, procurement, IT and transformation initiatives within global, publicly listed companies. Before joining Soufflet Malt, he was Group CFO of Eramet, overseeing all the company’s financial activities, as well as investor relations, procurement and IT. Prior to that, he played a key role in taking Tarkett public while serving as Group Financial Controller, later becoming CFO for the company’s North American division.
Nicolas also has strong operational experience from his time at Lear Corporation, where he managed financials for various operations serving automotive clients with a goal to boost productivity and monitor lean manufacturing. He began his career as a financial auditor with PwC. Nicolas holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Marketing from ICN Business School, complemented by a dual degree in Accounting and Finance from Université de Nancy II.
